Plano Children's Medical Clinic is more than just a health care provider, it's a lifeline of hope. Our mission statement is: To provide high quality primary medical care to all children in need.
Plano Children’s Medical Clinic was started in 1991 when a local pediatrician and school nurse who were working with young patients in the Head Start Program recognized a need for medical care for children of low income families with no insurance. The clinic first opened on Wednesdays and Thursdays in October of 1991 in a small house provided by First Baptist Church of Plano. The church has since donated the land and a spacious new building through collaborative efforts with the local Rotary Clubs, individuals and generous volunteers. Funding is sustained by grants, church and civic group donations, corporate support, state funding, foundations and individual donors.
The clinic is staffed by doctors, nurses, medical assistants, translators and office personnel who are all dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives the best care possible. Each staff member strives to make a difference for the children of our community and their families. Over 100,000 children have been seen by our healthcare providers for well-visits, sick-care and immunizations. The clinic serves children who are on Medicaid, CHIP or have no insurance.
Your donation to Plano Children’s Medical Clinic today will keep our doors open for the children in need, and the healthier tomorrow they deserve.
